Misc February Pictures

2-21-10 My girls with Grandma T
Papa Howie and Lys
Me and my sister bonding
Grandma T and Papa Howie watching a movie on the laptop with all the grandkids
Karah got a new haircut...2-22-10. Her bob needed to be trimmed and since she had cut her own little wispy bangs we just asked if they could trim it. I wanted it stacked a little in the back and to keep her wispy bangs and no a-line. The lady started cutting and it was looking as short as the back of Alyssa's head so I got really worried. When the lady was done, she had bangs...and an a-line...and super short it the back-so much for a trim! I was sick about it all day but we are gradually liking it more and more.
Alyssa wanted to show you how much her hair has grown since December!
2-26-10 was Karah's first day of school at her new school...(yes, the second new school for this school year! lol)
Alyssa didn't want Karah to leave so she tackled her!
Have a fun day Boo!
Standing in line with her class
Heading into the building. Her teacher is the lady in the white coat. She's pregnant and nice and Karah says "She even smiles!" She loves school now! It's been a great move so far! Everything is all worked out. I take Lys to my cousin Amy's then I pick up a neighbor boy that's in Karah's class and I take them to school, his mom picks them up and takes Karah to my cousin's house to be watched. They play and do fun things all day until I pick them up and then they get ready for bed (after a little quality time with me!) I love my new job! They sure must think a lot of me because they have lots of things planned for me to do or be in charge of! Sometimes I worry that I might not be able to do it all (it uses most of my brain, I am pretty sure!) but I'll get it!
Me and my girls
I have loved having special time with them the last 5 1/2 years! It was usually only me they were with and I feel I know them so well. They are happy, I am happy. This is good in my book! The last six months or so, while being hard, have been so wonderful! I have been able to see once again that I am of worth, that people like me for me, that I am a good mom and person. I have learned a lot. I have grown a lot. I am so glad I don't have any bitterness or anger pent up! I know that holding that in only hurts you-it does nothing else! I have been blessed to keep my positive attitude and make the most out of what I have! I am so grateful for my blessings! I know I "put on a smile" as most of you know, but for the most part, it is genuine. Sometimes it's not but that's because I don't feel like feeling at that moment. That's okay, right? If I need to get it out, I know I have lots of people I can go to so thanks for being there for me! You guys are the best! Sorry I don't take advantage of that more! ;) I will try harder to come to one or more of you when I am struggling. blah blah blah Anyways....
To a new life! Cheers!
new beginning-I love spring (even though it's snowing right now! At least they are huge chunky snowflakes, which I LOVE!) I was reading some stuff on Monday and found this quote and I like it! I posted it on Facebook but thought I'd put it here too...

Elder Richard G. Scott wisely instructed in the October 1991 general conference:

Trust [the Lord], even when in eternal perspective it temporarily hurts very much. Have patience when you are asked to wait when you want immediate action. . . . The path you are to walk through life may be very different from others. You may not always know why He does what He does, but you can know that He is perfectly just and perfectly merciful. ["Obtaining Help from the Lord," Ensign, November 1991, p. 86; emphasis added]

2-26-10 My girls slept over at Ash & Ty's with the boys and had tons of fun!
After their movie, Tyson and Ashlee got to work on their "cars."
They were going to go to a primary activity in the morning and watch a movie and eat popcorn in their cars! Such a cute idea.
the kids picked the colors
I'm sure you can tell this is Karah's... ;)
Brayden's
Alyssa decorating her car
Luke coloring his fire-breathing dragon!
All lined up and ready to go! Apparently, my girls didn't want their cars to have "eyes"- I thought the eyes were cute!
Luke
Karah (notice the beads on her car...)
Brayden
Alyssa (the pixie princess, as her license plate said!)
At the drive in movie activity (did I mention I think this is a cute idea?!)
They ran around playing with these all day! They are sitting in them right now but the bottoms were cut out so they could stand up and "drive!"
Thanks guys for being such a great aunt & uncle!

I love this post April. I really love the pictures of you and Ash, as well as the ones of you and the girls on the stairs. You look like you are just glowing. I am so happy to see that beautiful smile back on your face once again. It is like you are that bubbly person you were 10 years ago. My how life gets better after you endure trials. Even though I know that you have hard days once in a while....I can really tell that you are content and happy with your new life. You make me so proud!

Ash and Ty did an awesome job with those cars. They look like they had a great time.
