Deployments...My Traveling Man!

So, I have a hard time knowing whether or not I should write when Shawn is around and when he isn't. There are creeps out here and we don't have a private blog... I figure I can say after the fact, right?! The beginning of February Shawn was in Thailand for a week. One the way there and back they would stop in Hawaii for a day or so. He got me a cute necklace for Valentines. I'll get a pictuere of it later. It's a tiny silver sea turtle with cool stones in it's back. I love sea turtles BTW! Then he was home for about 5 days. Since he would be gone for V-Day, we got a sitter and went out before he left. We went to the Avenues Day Spa (by LDS hospital) for massages after dinner. It was nice and relaxing! Then he was off to Curacao (an island above Venezuela in the Carribbean.) He's coming home tomorrow night! Yay! He should be coming home tomorrow night, I should say! After this many years with the military, I learn that nothing is for sure until it's done! Basically, I'll believe it when I see it! I survive by setting low expectations like not hearing from him at all and maybe not coming home the day we've been told. That way when I do hear from him, I'll be happy and when they come home right on time, I'll be happy! Works for me! Since he's a pilot they are a little better about coming and leaving when they say (way better than when he was enlisted with the Marines for 8 years.) The only thing that could delay them is aircraft problems and in that case I don't want them flying in a plane that needs to be fixed! He'll be home for a few weeks and then it's off to Turkey for 6 weeks! I joke that why do they need more turkeys over there? I also realize that when he gets back I will be a lot bigger, the baby will be a lot bigger and he'll be able to feel and see the baby move by then! Crazy! We'll do good as long as I can stay on top of things. (LMBO, when am I ever on top of things!!! LOL) J/K! We'll be fine!

I think it's crazy how colorful it got! The last ones are after the stitches were taken out and the steri strips came off. I'm doing great now!
