I just took these pictures on Monday, November 30th. Notice how the bruises go up my legs around the arch and by my heels. Nice! I love bruises! If you remember, they are like trophies-I am proud of them! Is that weird? That I like bruises-it's amazing the colors your body can change! Wow! I don't love how they feel-if I walk, it feels like I'm walking on pointy rocks. It hurts! I think I might be getting better-slowly!

Here's the outside-hard to see. Just lots of bruising and stitches. Last week I got stitches out from the wire they threaded through each joint to pull the bolt in place with. Apparently they had to dilate my ankle joints to stick the titanium screws in so the doc said there's some major trauma-it will hurt for awhile! On Tuesday they took the stitches out from the outside of each foot and maybe next week I'll be getting the other two sets of stitches out. I still can't get them wet. I still can't drive. I still can't walk. I am alive though! I am getting really good at the wheelchair! I've figured out how to bath-I'm sure everyone appreciates that! We have steri strips, gauze on each site, wrapped in gauze and then in bandaging. I have these tube sock things over top to keep everything in place and clean. If I am going to stand up then I have to wear these black post-op shoes. I have used way more pain meds than I've ever had before-it's kinda scary! I have to go refill my percocet today because I'm all out. Just thought I'd give a current update before posting this post.

Check out what we found at my mom's house! 10-24-09

Yes, it's a Black Widow! Yuck!

We were so freaked out! (Whenever she wants to go home from my house I just remind her of this spider and she stays here to help me longer!) Thanks spider!

The moon looked really cool this day. We went to mom's to help get everything put away for winter. I was trying to help her since she always helps me so much!

Looks like a storm is coming-pretty!

It was a long day and Lys fell asleep on the floor at my mom's!

Looks like she was busy pickin' her nose when she crashed.

Karah's joining in!

Look how stinking long Karah is!

The moon. Not a great picture but look...

If you click the button on the camera and spin it around-this is what happens!

The girls fell asleep in the truck on the way back to my house.

Karah was gradually going lower and lower until we started to run out of gas...

So, all of a sudden the truck started to act weird and I looked up and we were running on fumes (I never drive the truck!) Mom remembered that most truck have two gas tanks so just switch over. Well, I didn't know where the switch was and when we went to click on the lights in the truck, there were no light bulbs. I was frantically saying, where's my phone (because if you open it up there is some light) and by the way, we were on the freeway this whole time-on the side of the road where the bumper strip is. bumpbumpbump. Finally I was able to switch over the tanks and get off the freeway to get gas.

We were laughing so hard. Boo woke up but still let Lys lay her head on her lap-she's so sweet! We took the truck to my mom's so we could bring back our old bed. You should have seen us trying to get the queen size box springs and mattress up all the stairs at my mom's house and out to the truck-but we did it! When we got home to my house, we didn't have the strength to even move them so we had to call for help. It was a funny night! So glad we had extra diapers!
