Can you believe I'm 30 today? Crazy and weird! I feel like I should write about my birthday today (instead of waiting till my posts are caught up, which could take months!) Pictures will have to come in a later post-I'm not that good! This morning Alyssa climbed under the covers with me and wanted to cuddle. Karah was busy making a list for me. She woke me up with a piece of paper that said:

If you sound out her words she wrote and drag the sounds out it makes more sense! I think she'd start sounding them out and think she already did part of the words so some letters were skipped!
Pancakes for breakfast Karah Alyssa Mom Church. Those were our plans for the morning.
We bathed and got all ready in our dresses with our hair done. I made pancakes and we played a little. Then right before we went to church the girls wanted me to open their presents. They made me cute cards and got me a Snuggie and two 5lb weights so I "can get strong!" We went to church and had a great time. I love this ward, the teachers in our classes are awesome and I am actually excited to go each week! I get so inspired and uplifted! After church we went to my dad's house to visit for a little bit. The girls are obsessed with their two cats! Karah had a "conversation" with one of them and it was quite interesting to hear what the two talked about! They sit and say meow over and over againg and expect them to understand them! It was nice seeing them for a little while! Thanks for the visit!
BTW-I still haven't heard how my job interview (at my old work!) went and I am so stressed about it! Just tell me already-yes or no! lol I am being patient I am being patient I am being patient...nope, that didn't work! ;)
I went to my mom's for dinner with my sister's family. She made everything I asked her to! Awe! Siri's chicken and rice, that broccoli salad stuff, rolls...and more! Then we played pin the tail on the donkey. I think I won! The kids were so cute and it was fun to play with them! Alyssa was hilarious! She put hers on just perfect! We were shocked! Until we noticed the angle of her head-that little girl was peaking out of the blindfold! Smart one! Then we played birthday bingo. The kids were cute once again-I especially liked how Lys put a heart on every space regardless of if it had been called or not! I see a trend here... Just kidding, she just doesn't really get the point of games yet. While we were sitting there, they said let's open presents. The boys made me awesome cards too! With me fishing for sharks, a hot air balloon, and a rainbow-very sweet! I got money to make a beaded watch, money for shoes-when I get the okay to
wear shoes again, money for jewelry and clothes to wear to work...Hope I get the job...;) Well, I have to get A job so regardless... Why am I writing ... so much?! oh well... Right when we finished presents and were playing a little, the phone rang and it was Lisa (my aunt that lives across the street.) My mom was like, I don't know, we've got everyone here, will she mind?, can they all come, I'll need to ask them and see if it's okay...I could only hear one side of the conversation. She said to us that it was Lisa and she's so excited. She has something to show my mom and Steve-do we want to go over there too or stay here and play with the kids (good thing that didn't backfire on her!) Of course we said we wanted to come-mom was saying she thought maybe Amy (my cousin) got engaged and they wanted to show us her ring! We were all excited. Mom asked if we should just eat cake and icecream after or bring it with. I said bring it (cause there are ALWAYS leftovers-we can share) She was like, you don't mind? Then she's like, I should grab some plates-do you think this is enough for us and them? You know, anything to throw me off! So we are walking in the cold-have I mentioned I don't like the cold-and I took a shortcut through mom's lawn because I take so long to walk. The bumpy frozen grass killed my feet so I vowed to not do that again (but then I cut across my cousin's lawn too because it would take me another half hour to walk on the sidewalks around!) The lights looked off and it didn't look like anyone was even home! Then I thought, maybe they are downstairs. Lisa answered the door and was all smiles. Mom said, where is she? Did she get a ring? and Lisa wouldn't say anything, she just kept smiling. We were like should we go downstairs or in the family room and she said, ya, you can go in there. So I opened the doors to a darkened room and quickly recognized all these people I love and that love me saying surprise! It was surreal! I didn't understand for a few seconds, then I realized I was getting a surprise party! Holy cow! I was not expecting that in the least! How fun! I had over 40 of my loved ones there! I can't believe so much of my family just dropped everything and came to show they care! I guess I shouldn't be surprised by now-we've had lots of opportunities for everyone to support us and they always have-through everything! Alyssa wasn't quite sure what to make of all the people, loud talking, giggling, etc. She clung to me! Karah pouted because she didn't get a noise maker (then she did.) They all wrote on a poster for me and we sat and chatted for a while (and had cake and ice cream!) How sweet! I truly have the best family! Mom, thank you! I appreciate the sentiment and it made me feel good, which is nice! Last surprise party I had, I was 10 and we'd just moved into our SJ house and I was missing all my old friends so my mom had them all at my house to surprise me and sleepover-it was fun! So, I am 30, my Grams is 80 next week and my mom is 50 in August. I am a numbers gal and I think it's cool that me and Grams are 50 years apart (=my mom's age) and my mom and Grams (her mom) are 30 years apart (=my age.) And if you add up me and my mom, you make Grams! he he he I know, dumb-but cool!
I appreciate all the kind words and thoughts from everyone. They (including the prayers) are sure helping! I feel such peace and joy, happiness and grateful for all I have lately! It's been crazy that I can feel those emotions while I am so recently divorced but I have overcoming joy and gratitude and that can only come from my Heavenly Father. So thanks for your prayers that he will help me-he has! I even have been feeling better about Evan since we split the end of September. I do miss my angels but I am feeling God's hand in things and for that I am grateful! I love you all! have a great week! I hope I can hear about how my job interview went sometime this week...hint hint! LOL Like they are reading my blog! ;) I'm just sending out positive vibes through my blog! Pick me pick me-yoouuu'llll bbeee hhaappyy yyoouuu ddiiddd!!! ;) I'll stop talking now-Good Night!
Karah decided to put the Zhu Zhu pets to work cleaning the floor for my birthday. She put them in the middle of her tutus and they walked all over "cleaning the floor!" lol
Lys was busy putting a bow on hers before her turn to work too!
I'm not sure what kind of cleaning he's doing with a cookie cutter....

The next day when I finally went to get my mail, I found a huge package in there! Cute pink and brown polka dots all over. The girls came right inside to see what it was! My good friend Robbie had sent me a package because she's a sweetheart! Knowing that we've gone through a lot lately she made and sent some goodies for us to enjoy and keep our spirits up! Her and her kids made a blanket for us to cuddle with, the girls each got a cute moose stuffed animal (named Moosie and Moosecakes-I actually like the names they picked this time!) and two chef's aprons and hats (which the moose are modeling in the pictures!) The letters and pictures were awesome and just what we needed. I had to take some shots of the girls with the stuff-they were being so cute!

We put the couches together and threw in all the stuffed animals, pillows and girls. It was so much fun! We played in there and watched a movie together before bed. This is our favorite thing to do with the couches. Kinda sad we can't do that in the new house, oh well! (One couch will be upstairs and one downstairs-we'll have more space that way!)

Karah and Alyssa wanted to get themselves ready for church today (1-31-10) and they came up with some interesting outfits! Alyssa was wearing a red dress, a pink striped legwarmer on one leg, a grey one on the other, socks on her arms and hands to keep them warm, Karah's play shoes that are too big and a yellow hoodie...nice!
You want me to match? Okay, tonight when you want me to have pjs on, I will throw a huge fit to match and you had better make sure my panties match my jammies too! (This she did!) Today was my Grams 80th birthday so we went to her party and enjoyed my cousins and family-have I mentioned I have the best family!
I made some beaded watch bands so I can be a little more dressed up at work. (I'll have to take some pictures when I get done with them all-thanks birthday money!) Saturday I wore one and after two hours I had this huge bruise on my wrist! What the? Has this ever happened to anyone else? I didn't do anything to get it-I don't think?! Crazy!
While we were driving home from Gram's party on Sunday night, Alyssa was saying some funny/interesting things! She first told me "Mom, you're a crazy driver!" Then she was crying "I miss my Grams! I want to call my Grams! I miss her! I want to call her!..." After she calmed down it was quiet in the back seat and Lys said "Mommy, I love you!......I want daddy to say he loves you too!" Wow! That one took me for a loop! I know Karah has been taking the brunt of things but I didn't know it had been affecting Alyssa! Apparently she has noticed that we don't show affection to each other anymore. Isn't that just the saddest thing to hear a 3 year old say?! It almost took my breath away, I was in shock she was able to explain so nicely how she felt! What do you say to that! I tell them all the time I love them and daddy loves them and their grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles love them...hhmm... Interesting! I sure love these guys! I'd better go make them some lunch! Bye! (STILL NO WORD ON THE JOB-NO, I AM NOT GETTING ANXIOUS! CAN'T YOU TELL, I AM COMPLETELY FINE!)
